Alexander (Alex) Hernandez was born in Havana, Cuba in February of 1965 and moved to the U.S. in 1966 with his family. He has been a resident of Florida since 1980 when he arrived here from Chicago. He attended the University of South Florida (Tampa) where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice / Sociology in 1984. Mr. Hernandez went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, in 1989. He has been a practicing lawyer since 1990.

He has been admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, as well as The United States Supreme Court. He is a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and available to mediate a variety of cases from Foreclosure litigation to personal injury cases.

He has successfully handled and/or litigated thousands of Personal Injury cases, from minor injury cases to Multi-Million Dollar catastrophic injury cases including the following:

  • Car Accidents

  • Slip and Falls (vs. Defendants like: Wal-Mart, Target, Publix, etc.),

  • Nursing Home Negligence

  • Medical Malpractice

  • Attorney Malpractice (vs. well-known Law firms seen on TV Ads)

  • Products Liability (Chrysler, Ford, well-known Pharmaceuticals, etc.)

From 1993 through 2000, Mr. Hernandez was the lawyer responsible for defending all liability claims brought against the District School Board of Pasco County. Since then he has successfully handled many negligence cases against various School Boards throughout Florida on behalf of Injured Students.

He is FLUENT IN SPANISH and was on the list of Court-approved translators in Sarasota County. Mr. Hernandez has primarily been representing victims of automobile accidents since 1990 in Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties. His clientele base, however, extends from throughout the entire State of Florida.
